How do I work with shared activities

Open shared activities for the current trip

  1. Click Dashboard in the toolbar.
  2. Open the Trip Shared section.
  3. Click Activities.
  4. Plantour opens the Public trip activities page for the currently selected trip.
If the wrong trip opens, select the correct trip first and then return to Activities.

What admins can manage there

  • Admins can add, update, and delete public trip activities that should be visible to the whole trip.
  • Each activity can include a name, activity type, start and end dates, address, optional coordinates, notes, and an itinerary-part link.
  • Use the itinerary-part selector on a row when you want to connect that shared activity to one itinerary part.
  • Use the page menu Hide Itinerary Parts or Show Itinerary Parts when you want to hide or show the itinerary-part selector and the linked itinerary-part text in the list.

What participants can do there

  • Participants can open the same page and review the shared activities that are visible to the whole trip.
  • Participants can view the linked itinerary part, schedule, address, and activity type for each shared activity.
  • Participants cannot add, edit, delete, or relink shared activities from this page.

Use shared activities together with the map

  • Shared activities can appear on the trip map together with itinerary parts and personal activities when they have valid coordinates or a geocodable address.
  • Open Dashboard > Trip > Map when you want to see those shared activities in the route context.
  • Use Get directions on the map page when you want Plantour to send the currently visible route to Google Maps.
