Why Plantour uses the current trip
The current trip is Plantour's active trip context. It lets the application know which trip should be used when you open trip-specific pages such as Participants, Items, Todos, Bags, Shared items, Shared todos, and Comments.
- When a current trip exists, the toolbar can open trip pages directly for that trip.
- When no current trip exists, current-trip-only actions are disabled and the toolbar text shows No Trip Selected.
- Showing the current trip name in the toolbar is only a visual shortcut. It does not create or change the trip by itself.
How to set or unset it
- Open the Dashboard Trip section and click Trips.
- Select the trip you want to work with in the trips page. Plantour stores the selected trip as the current trip.
- If no trip stays selected, Plantour clears the current trip and the toolbar falls back to No Trip Selected.
A simple mental model is: in Plantour, the selected trip becomes the current trip.
How to show or hide it in the toolbar
- Open the toolbar features menu with the bars icon.
- Click Hide Trip if the trip name is currently visible, or Show Trip if it is hidden.
- Plantour remembers that visibility preference and keeps the same current trip underneath. Only the toolbar text is shown or hidden.
