Open trip notes for the current trip
- Click Dashboard in the toolbar.
- Open Trip personal > Notes.
- Plantour opens the Trip notes page for the currently selected trip.
If the wrong trip opens, select the correct trip first and then return to Notes.
Add, update, or delete a trip note
Use trip notes when you want to keep travel information, plans, reminders, or image-based references inside the selected trip.
- Use Add to create a new trip note.
- Enter a required title.
- Optionally choose an activity if you want to connect the note to one activity.
- Enter note content in the editor. Plantour requires meaningful content before saving.
- Click Submit to save the note.
- Select a saved note and use Update to edit it, or Delete to remove it.
How to insert your Dropbox images
Plantour can store private Dropbox image references inside trip notes, so you do not need to paste public shared Dropbox links.
- Open Add or Update for the note you want to edit.
- Open the page menu in the note form header and choose Connect to Dropbox.
- Complete the Dropbox popup authorization and return to Plantour. When the connection succeeds, Plantour shows Reset Dropbox in the page menu.
- Place the editor cursor where the image should be inserted.
- Click the editor toolbar button Dropbox.
- In the Choose Dropbox image dialog, open folders as needed, use Up to go to the parent folder, and use Refresh when you need to reload the current Dropbox location.
- Click the image you want to insert. Plantour adds it to the editor and stores it as a private Dropbox reference.
- Click Reset Dropbox when you want Plantour to forget the currently connected Dropbox account so you can de-authorize Plantour access or connect a different Dropbox account.
- Click Submit to save the note with the inserted image.
The Reset Dropbox menu item is available only when Plantour has a saved Dropbox connection in your account. Resetting Dropbox removes Plantour's saved Dropbox authorization so the next connection can use the same or a different Dropbox account. You can still use the regular Image toolbar button when you want to insert an image from a public http:// or https:// URL instead.
Use the editor tools and adjust images
- The editor toolbar includes Undo, Redo, paragraph and heading styles, Bold, Italic, Underline, bullet lists, ordered lists, block quotes, links, images, Dropbox images, tables, Remove Format, and code formatting.
- Use the paragraph or heading selector when you want to switch between normal text and note headings.
- Use the link button to add a link and use Remove Format when pasted text keeps unwanted formatting.
- To resize an image, click the image in the editor and drag its resize handles.
- To move an image, select it and drag it to another place in the note, or cut and paste it where you want it.
- When you reopen a note, Plantour restores the saved rich-text content and Dropbox image references in the editor.
Review notes, connect them to activities, and export them
- Use the list filters such as Filter by Title and Activity when you want to narrow the notes list.
- Use the page menu option Show Activity Select or Hide Activity Select when you want to show or hide the activity selector in the list.
- Mark notes with Mark for PDF when you want to include them in an exported document.
- Use Download Marked Notes PDF from the page menu when you want a PDF export of the marked notes only.
