How can I see the trip on the map

Open the map for the current trip

  1. Click Dashboard in the toolbar.
  2. Open the Trip section.
  3. Click Map.
  4. Plantour opens the map page for the currently selected trip.
If the wrong trip opens, select the correct trip first and then return to Map.

See itinerary parts and activities together

  • The map can show itinerary parts and trip activities together, so you can understand where each part of the trip happens.
  • When a part or activity has valid coordinates or a geocodable address, Plantour places it on the map and can include it in a visible path.
  • Click a marker when you want to see its title, type, dates, address, notes, and coordinates.
  • If some parts or activities cannot be placed on the map, Plantour still shows the valid ones and lists the missing-location items below the map.

Hide or show itinerary parts and activity paths

  1. Use Show all paths when you want to show every available itinerary and activity path again.
  2. Use Hide all paths when you want to clear the map and then turn paths back on selectively.
  3. Open the Paths panel if it is collapsed.
  4. Use the checkbox next to Itinerary when you want to hide or show the itinerary path.
  5. Use the checkbox next to any activity path when you want to hide or show that activity only.
  6. Plantour updates the map immediately, so the visible paths always match the selections in the panel.

Send the visible trip route to Google Maps

The map page builds directions from the paths that are currently visible. This means you can hide the parts or activities you do not want before sending the route.
  1. Show only the itinerary parts and activity paths you want to include.
  2. Click Get directions.
  3. Plantour opens Google Maps in a new tab.
  4. Google Maps receives the currently visible route points as the trip directions.
If Get directions is disabled, Plantour does not currently have enough visible route points to build directions.
