Assign a bag while creating or updating one trip item
Use this when you already know where one item belongs.
- Open Trip > Items for the selected trip.
- Open the Add Trip Item or Edit Trip Item form.
- Use the optional Bag field in that form to choose the trip bag for that item.
- Submit the form. Plantour saves the item with that bag already assigned.
Pack or unpack one item directly in the Trip Items list
Use this when you want to change packing one item at a time from the list view.
- Open Trip > Items for the selected trip.
- If the bag selector is not visible on item rows, open the page menu and choose Show Bags.
- To pack one item, use the bag dropdown on that row and choose a bag.
- To unpack one item, clear that same bag dropdown.
- Plantour immediately updates the item so the row shows whether it is packed or not packed.
Pack or unpack many items at once with the Trip bag target
Use this when you want to work in bulk with one bag and many currently shown items.
- Open Trip > Items for the selected trip.
- Open the actions bar in the page header.
- Choose the Trip bag target and select the bag you want to work with.
- Use filtering by name if you want to limit the current item list before the bulk action.
- Click the page-level plus button to pack all currently shown items into that selected bag.
- Click the page-level minus button to unpack the currently shown items from that selected bag.
- With a Trip bag target selected, Plantour also lets you review the contents of that one bag by working with the targeted item list.
These are the actual packing options exposed by the current Trip Items UI: item form assignment, row-level bag dropdown, and bulk pack or bulk unpack through the Trip bag target. If you still need to create or manage bags first, read How do I work with trip bags?.
